Tom Wills and Jamie Coombes from Sunseeker Torquay together with Matt Palmes from luxury car partner HR Owen spent the day with guests back in the classroom at the Salcombe Gin School which forms part of the award winning brands’ fantastic distillery.
Starting the day in Torquay, Sunseeker guests were chauffeured to Salcombe in style courtesy of HR Owen. Upon arrival guests were able to sample some award winning Salcombe gin before indulging in a light lunch prior to heading back to school for the day!
The ultimate gin experience for curious gin lovers, each guest took charge of a beautiful mini copper pot still to develop and distil their very own 70cl bottle of gin.
Under the guidance of an excellent team of distillers and knowledgeable staff, guests each learnt about the art of distillation and what it takes to produce a well-balanced and harmonious gin whilst enjoying a Salcombe gin & tonic or two!
Each student had the pick of a vast range of botanicals and were free to be as creative as they desired with a selection of classic, citrus, floral, herbal and spicy botanicals.
The end result was a beautifully presented boxed and labelled bottle of their very own personally blended gin to take home. Sunseeker Torquay would like to thank everyone involved who helped make the day a success.
