EVENT ROUND UP: Success as 50 riders take on the four day Couch Classic challenge in aid of Teens Unite

After taking part last year, our Directors David Lewis and Christopher Head, alongside Sales Broker, Alex Head took on the Couch Classic challenge yet again. Teaming up with Islandbridge Capital,  Sunseeker London were delighted to host this years Couch Classic in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

In aid of Teens Unite, over 50 riders descended on the Tuscan countryside to embark on an enlightening cycle through the enchanting towns and landscapes that characterise the region whilst raising funds for Teens Unite. The event took place over three days from the 6th-8th October, covering a total distance of 236km with a total climb of total climb 13,000ft.

The first day challenged the riders to cycle to the small medieval town of San Gimignano in the province of Sienna, before meandering up into the hilly town of Volterra.

Day two tested the riders fitness with a hilly journey up to the medieval town of Castellina in Chianti and from there on to Panzano, before continuing on to Radda, the capital of Chianti.

With two days down, the riders were ready to take on the final day cycling to the historical city of Sienna, followed by the final leg of the journey into the Italian region of Buonconvento.

Teens Unite is the only charity in the UK to provide ongoing support to 13-24 year old’s fighting cancer from diagnosis through to post-remission. Teens Unite brings them together through workshops and activities so they can spend valuable time with others their age in a similar situation to themselves.
