BERTHS: Sales Broker and resident berth expert; Alex Montane of Sunseeker France gives an overview of the countless opportunities on the French Riviera

Alex Montane, Sales Broker from Sunseeker France explains that there has never been a better time to look for a berth on the glorious coast of the South of France. With countless new opportunities arising in many different ports, he believes that France has more to offer than ever before!

Along the beautiful French coastline, from La Marine de Cogolin, 1600 berths for boats from 5 to 45 metres, to the port of Cap D’Ail, 250 berths for boats from 6 to 60 metres in length, there are a number of marinas that can cater to your every need, and some that boast exiting new projects.

The largest port on the Cote d’Azur coast line, Port Gallice and Port Vauban of Antibes, which can accommodate Yachts of up to 170 metres and has over 1600 berths, has projects under way to rebuild and revamp areas of the existing port to create more berths to cope with the ever growing demand in this area. This project will also aim to offer even more competitive prices for all boat owners keen to berth their boats in this vibrant region of la Cote d’Azur.

St Raphael – The Cote D’azur has a lot to offer this summer for boat owners of all sizes

Saint-Raphael’s Marina, the Old Port, ideally located half-way between Cannes and St-Tropez has been rebuilt and modernised, now offering 269 long term berths from 6 to 45 metres for yachts, until 2038.

Another exciting project is happening at La Marine de Cogolin; Alex Montane reports that there has been a huge price drop in berths as a result of the town regaining control of the Marina. The Mayor of Cogolin plans to begin redeveloping and modernising “La Marine de Cogolin”. His intention is to carry out significant works to improve the port’s infrastructure and enhance its facilities for boats owners.
