The four month shooting competition amounted down to this final shoot for the top 20 finalists, in a bid to win a spectacular prize worth £80,000 of either exquisite Boodles Jewellery or a Sunseeker charter.

To win either of these once in a lifetime prizes the finalists had to be able to shoot at least 23 of the 25 clays in a testing sequence that the Royal Berkshire Shooting School had masterminded.

The day started out with all the finalists meeting at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School at around 9:30am for morning coffees, teas and bacon ciabattas to fuel them up for the day ahead. The finalists then went outside to the grounds for a group photo and a practice shoot.

Following the warm up, the finalists then took their final shot at the Sunseeker Boodles Cup clay sequence.

After around an hour of impeccable sportsmanship and skill, all the finalists had taken their shots and the winner was revealed.

All guns had put a huge amount of effort and expertise into their attempt to complete the Sunseeker Boodles Cup sequence, although with this years sequence being as intricate as it was, unfortunately no one managed to gain a high score above 23. Despite this, there was still the second prize of £5000 to be won for highest score below 23.

Sunseeker London, Boodles and the Royal Berkshire Shooting School would like to congratulate Huw Stevens on achieving the highest score of 22 clays! Huw was able to take a cheque of £5000 away with him that day, along side his one missed clay that cost him the top prize (!) for his accomplishments within the Sunseeker Boodles Cup.

After the shoot, all finalists were greeted with a Taittinger Champagne reception to congratulate them all. They were then treated to a divine two-course shooting lunch of Pave of Rump of Beef, Boulangere Potatoes, Greens, Crisp Shallots served with Red Wine Jus, followed by Treacle Tart with Vanilla Clotted Cream.

The whole competition had been a splendid success and we look forward to next year!
