EVENT ROUND-UP: Sunseeker London Group report on the outstandingly successful Sunseeker Owners Cruise event and the ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party in Mallorca, Spain

From the 27^th July, the Sunseeker London Group were proud to host a three day Owners Cruise around the majestic island of Mallorca, as well as the ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party.

Being the largest of the Baleric islands, Mallorca was a magical setting for this unique event, offering turquoise-blue seas, secret sparkling coves, soft golden sands, soaring rugged mountains, sleepy honey-stone villages and vibrant marinas.

200 fortunate guests and 24 Sunseeker boats, ranging from the Portofino 48 up to the Sunseeker 34 Metre Yacht (adding up to an impressing total of 1600 Ft of Sunseeker boats!), participated in this extraordinary three-day cruise event, culminating in the unforgettable event the ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party.

DAY 1: Sunseeker Owners Cruise – Port Adriano

During the first day of the Sunseeker Owners Cruise, the 24-strong Sunseeker flotilla gathered in Port Adriano, home of Sunseeker Mallorca, on Wednesday evening where friendships were kindled and renewed over cocktails and canapés.

Spilling onto Sunseeker Mallorca’s terraces in their enviable Adriano location, guests collected their goody bags and itineraries before returning to their vessels.

DAY 2: Sunseeker Owners Cruise – Es Trenc Beach and Porto Petro

The Sunseeker fleet departed early on day two lead by the Sunseeker Predator 57 for a 90-minute voyage to the breathtaking aqua blue seas at Es Trenc Beach.

Once anchored, guests were tendered ashore by our cruise partner Williams Jet Tenders to the unspoilt natural park. Guests were greeted by the Sunseeker team for a delicious lunch overlooking the boats in this idyllic setting.

The afternoon cruise saw a short trip along the east coast to Porto Petro. A hidden gem flanked by wooded hills with the white washed stone cottages of the marina nestling amongst pine and olive trees. Once on their buoys, the afternoon aperitifs began with all the fleet being treated to a visit from the Chase Distillery team, who came onboard to create a selection of their specialty cocktails.

As the sun set across the beautiful bay of Porto Petro the guests were tendered ashore by the Williams Jet Tenders for the evening soiree at the PURAVIDA Resort Blau PortoPetro. Enjoying the beautiful sounds of singer Katie Francesca, families and friends relaxed and mingled with fellow Sunseeker owners on the lawn overlooking Porto Petro, before a sizzling BBQ was served.

DAY 3: Sunseeker Owners Cruise – Bay of Pollensa, and the ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party

Day three saw the 24 Sunseeker boats depart in the morning around to the north of the island and into the Bay of Pollensa, the eagerly anticipated destination for the ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party that evening.

Guests anchored in the lee of La Fortaleza, the extraordinary 17^th Century Fortress that was built to protect the town from marauding Pirates. An afternoon at leisure began with a Michelin-starred chef Marc Fosh hamper delivery, continuing with a wide range of watersports including SEABOB demonstrations, wake-boarding and wake-surfing instruction by instructor Matt Crowhurst from Crowpro and the opportunity to try out hover boards and jetpacks.

As the sun started dipping, our glamorous guests emerged from their beautiful boats and were tendered ashore and thanks to event partner Jaguar Land Rover, were chauffeured up the winding driveway to La Fortaleza.

Rumored to be Spain’s most expensive property, La Fortaleza was most recently seen in the hit BBC One drama based on John Le Carre’s ‘The Night Manager’ starring Tom Hiddleston. The property featured as villain Richard Roper’s (played by Hugh Laurie) luxurious home and made the most special backdrop for the finale to the Sunseeker Cruise.

Greeted by Chase Cocktails and Marc Fosh canapés the guests mingled on the lower lawns, being entertained by stilt walkers and acrobats, swapping stories about the cruise and relaxing looking out across one of the best views in Mallorca.

Once the 200 guests were seated on the upper terrace, the Michelin starred Marc Fosh team set to work serving a gastronomic gala dinner, complemented by wines from Williams Chase vineyard.

After dinner, the party continued on the lawns and around the infinity pool, the 17^th stone fort glowing in richly lit colours while beams of light tracked up into the starry Mallorcan night. Peels of laughter mixed with timeless classics and current summer hits from the DJ saw the party crowd take to the dancefloor well into the small hours.

The ‘ULTIMATE 2016’ party was the culmination of an event which will stay in the hearts and minds of those attending for a lifetime and embodied the very essence of the Sunseeker Family.

Empezando el 27 de Julio, Sunseeker London Group estuvo muy orgulloso de organizar un crucero de 3 días alrededor dela majestuosa isla de Mallorca, y el evento inolvidable la “ULTIMATE 2016” fiesta.

Siendo la isla más grande en las Islas Baleares, Mallorca fue un lugar mágico para este evento inolvidable, ofreciendo mares turquesas, calas cristalinas, arenas doradas, montañas altas, pueblos misteriosos y marinas vibrantes.

200 invitados afortunados y 24 barcos de Sunseeker – empezando desde el Sunseeker Portofino 48 hasta el yate Sunseeker de 34 metros – participaron en este extraordinario crucero de 3 días, que culminó en el memorable evento la “ULTIMATE 2016” fiesta.

DIA 1: Sunseeker Owners’ Cruise – Port Adriano

Durante el primer día de la “Sunseeker Owners’ Cruise”, la potente flotilla de 24 Sunseekers se reunieron en Port Adriano (sede de Sunseeker Mallorca) el Miércoles por la tarde, donde se crearon y renovaron amistades entre cócteles y canapés. Los invitados recogieron sus bolsas de obsequios e itinerarios en las terrazas de Sunseeker Mallorca en esta envidiable ubicación en Adriano antes de volver a sus embarcaciones.

DIA 2: Sunseeker Owners’ Cruise – Playa Es Trenc y Porto Petro

El segundo día la flota de Sunseeker salió temprano de Port Adriano, liderados por la Sunseeker 57 para un viaje de 90 minutos hacia los asombrosos mares azules de la playa de Es Trenc.

Una vez anclados, los invitados fueron llevados a tierra con las embarcaciones auxiliares de nuestros colaboradores en el crucero, ‘Williams Jet tenders’, y se dirigieron hacia el parque natural virgen donde el equipo de Sunseeker les dieron la bienvenida al restaurante para disfrutar de un delicioso almuerzo con vistas a los barcos en este entorno idílico.

La travesía de la tarde fue un corto viaje a lo largo de la costa este hacia Porto Petro. Una joya escondida flanqueada por colinas boscosas y con las cabañas de piedra blanca de la marina emplazadas entre pinos y olivos. Una vez en sus boyas, toda la flota recibió la visita del equipo de Chase, que subió a bordo de las embarcaciones para crear una selección de sus cócteles especiales.

A medida que el sol se puso al otro lado de la bahía de Porto Petro los invitados fueron traslados a tierra por el Jet-tender de Williams para la velada la noche. Disfrutando de los bellos sonidos de la cantante Katie Francesca, familias y amigos se relajaron y mezclaron con otros propietarios de Sunseeker en el césped con vistas a Porto Petro, antes de que se sirviera una deliciosa barbacoa.

DÍA 3: ‘Sunseeker Owners’ Cruise – Bahía de Pollensa, y la “ULTIMATE 2016” fiesta

El tercer día consistió en la partida de los 24 barcos Sunseeker por la mañana hacia el norte de la isla y su llegada a la bahía de Pollensa, el destino esperado para el Ultimate 2016.

Los invitados anclaron en el sotavento de La Fortaleza, la extraordinaria fortaleza del siglo 17 que se construyó para proteger la ciudad de piratas merodeadores. La tarde de ocio comenzó con la entrega a los barcos de cestas de comida preparadas por el famoso chef Marc Fosh (galardonado con estrellas Michelin), continuando con una amplia gama de deportes acuáticos como demostraciones de Seabob, instrucciones de wake-board y wake-surf con Matt Crowhurst y la oportunidad de probar otros deportes como el hover-boards y los Jet-packs.

A medida que el sol empezó a ponerse, nuestros glamurosos invitados salieron de sus hermosos barcos y fueron llevados a tierra y gracias a Jaguar Land Rover, (otros de nuestros colaboradores en el evento), conducidos por el camino sinuoso hasta La Fortaleza.

Se rumorea que La Fortaleza es la propiedad más cara de España, y fue vista por última vez en el exitoso drama de la cadena británica BBC One basado en la novela “The Night Manager” (el Gerente de noche) de John Le Carre y protagonizada por Tom Hiddleston. La propiedad aparece como casa de lujo del villano Richard Roper (interpretado por Hugh Laurie) y puso el telón de fondo más especial para la final al crucero Sunseeker.

Recibidos por cocteles de ‘Chase’ y Canapés de Marc Fosh, los invitados se mezclaron entre ellos en los jardines inferiores, mientras eran entretenidos por zancueros y acróbatas, intercambiando historias del crucero y se relajaron observando una de las mejores vistas en Mallorca.

Una vez que los 200 invitados se sentaron en la terraza superior, el equipo del chef Marc Fosh se puso a trabajar sirviendo una cena de gala gastronómica, con los vinos del viñedo de Williams Chase.

Después de la cena, la fiesta continuó en las explanadas inferiores y alrededor de la piscina, con la fortaleza de piedra del siglo 17 brillando en colores ricamente iluminados.

Las risas mezcladas con canciones clásicas de siempre y éxitos actuales de verano del DJ vieron la multitud de la fiesta tomar la pista de baile hasta la madrugada.

La “ULTIMATE 2016” fiesta fue la culminación de un evento que se quedará en los corazones y las mentes de los que asistentes durante toda la vida y personifico la esencia propia de la familia de Sunseeker.
