100 guests were invited to a clay pigeon shooting competition hosted at the prestigious Royal Berkshire Shooting grounds on Friday 15th May, to raise vital funds for the Princess Alexandra Hospital Breast Unit Charity – one of the largest breast cancer clinical trials facilities north of London.

David Lewis, Managing Director of Sunseeker London, is a key supporter of the small charitable organisation, which is lead by Mr Ashraf Patel, Associate Specialist in Breast Disease. Over £77,000 was raised at the clay pigeon shoot, which will fund the purchase of specialist equipment, introduce new initiatives and support research into the disease itself.

Mr Patel thanked Sunseeker London, Mayer Brown and everyone who supported the shooting day, adding; “It is paramount we find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat different kinds of breast cancer. These funds will keep up the treatment options and give women the opportunities they need to battle the disease.”

The day was very well attended and guests enjoyed an early breakfast followed by a morning’s shooting. After a champagne reception, guests were seated to a four-course lunch before participating in a lively game of ‘heads and tails’ and main live auction.

The auction saw an array of incredible ‘money can’t buy’ auction lots, including full hospitality for 4 at Lord’s cricket ground (ODI, England v Australia) and a tour of the Red Bull Racing facilities with dinner for 4 at The Private Members Royal Automobile Club, London.
