The training courses continued last month for Sunseeker Hellas Technical Manager, Stavros Vlachokyriakos. Having found the previous Besenzoni training session hugely informative and interesting, the following Sunseeker Service School captured the eyes and minds of attendees and Stavros, too.
Held for the past few years at the RNLI College facilities in Poole, the Sunseeker Service School included training courses for all suppliers of the Sunseeker International shipyard, such as Dometic and Phoenix, updates on all new Sunseeker models and developing technologies and production methods.
The most impressive part of the training had to be the introduction of the world class Sunseeker Technology Centre. This specialised technological facility is where all the electrical connections, CAD/CAM design, wood and lacquer manufacturing, inox parts and upholstery are built in, adjusted, tested and finalised before installation.
The final day included a much sought after Sunseeker Shipyard Tour and a presentation of yacht models, including the new Predator 57 and 86 Yacht.
Attendees of the Sunseeker Service School had the chance to meet representatives from some of the great brands working with Sunseeker, expand their contacts and even get to make new partnerships – ensuring that the best customer care and service is passed on from distributor to boat owner.
Stavros commented: “Such seminars are the best way for distributors to take the how-to knowledge right from the source and transfer it with the best possible way onboard and of course to the boat owners. It is essential for the personnel with direct contact with owners and crew members have all the technical information and updates so we can successfully support the yachts and make sure the people on board enjoy their boat safely.”
