“A classic in the making”: Sunseeker 86 Yacht to be launched in June 2014

A new breed of Sunseeker Yacht has arrived…meet the 86 Yacht ahead of her water launch in June.

The Sunseeker 86 Yacht will be released in Spring 2014

The Sunseeker 86 Yacht introduces a revolutionary design with exterior and interior modifications to optimise performance

Where the recently launched 75 Yacht represents evolution at Sunseeker, the new 86 Yacht represents revolution. Introducing a totally new concept, the introduction of the 86 Yacht marks brand-new, never seen before design from the Sunseeker shipyard. Taking a completely new hull form, the 86 Yacht was born as the result of a client looking for new displacement speeds and extended range.

With a completely new hull design, the 86 Yacht will be capable of 1500NM at a displacement speed of 10 knots

Accommodating these needs, the 86 Yacht hull features a flattened aft end which still runs like a true Sunseeker, but can offer the much sought after 1500 NM range at 10 knots. Coupled with an 11,000-litre fuel capacity, the 86 Yacht goes above and beyond any competition. The end product is an exceptional creation, which has already been scouted as the “star of 2014” and professed to be a “classic in the making” by Sunseeker senior management team.

Incorporating features such as a bulwark balcony and a fold down seating on the aft platform, the 86 Yacht offers unique features for a model of her size

It is not just her efficiency that makes the 86 Yacht unique. Much has been emphasised on her special exterior and interior design. Taking the successes from previous models, such as the Starboard bulwark balconies seen on the 28 Metre and 40 Metre Yacht, the 86 Yacht also introduces new touches and features to provide maximum comfort to the client.

Fold down seats have been added to the aft platform, which introduces an entry-level Beach Club – something you wouldn’t usually find on a yacht of this size. Gaining a further edge over her competitors, the 86 Yacht also offers the garage option to accommodate a Williams 385 tender. Rather than compromising valuable common area space in the Crew mess to allow for this, 86 Yacht design cleverly reduces the height above the Pullman berths, allowing for full standing room in the Crew cabin.

Guest accommodation on board the 86 Yacht is designed to be a home from home. As standard, the layout is conducive to an Owner/Operator, with incorporated cooking and dining areas in the Saloon.

Introducing a new style of galley that can accommodate an Owner/Operator as well as a crewed option, the breakfast bar-esque design is something totally different

Yet, Sunseeker offers its usual flexibility, with an additional option for an enclosed Galley if preferred. All new architecture appears on the lower deck, which features 4 very large en-suite cabins to accommodate 8 guests. Particular changes in design can be noted in the Forward VIP Cabin, which benefits from its own stair access and private lobby. Offering the most capacious accommodation seen on a Sunseeker of this size before, the 86 Yacht epitomises luxury comfort onboard.
