Back in February, the Sunseeker Blog Book posted an article on the delivery of the Sunseeker Manhattan 63 “MAKO” from France to the UK. Sunseeker Cheshire are now delighted to confirm the completion and handover of the Manhattan 63 “MAKO” to her proud new owners based in North Wales.

Having left Poole following her final Sunseeker checks and servicing, it took just 2 days by sea for “MAKO” to be motored to her new home berth in Pwllheli Marina, North Wales. No sooner had the 21.07m flybridge Sunseeker arrived in the marina than Pwllheli berth holders had arrived in their dozens to admire the latest local addition. The Manhattan 63 cuts a fine image in the marina, where she is easily the largest yacht in situ.

Sunseeker Cheshire Sales Broker Jonathan Kingsley was at Pwllheli Marina to welcome the new owner onboard “MAKO”, which had been delivered by a Captain on his behalf.
“North Wales is where our client has enjoyed boating for a number of years”, said Jonathan at the marina. “We are really excited that we have been able to re-introduce the Sunseeker name back to the North of England and to be able to look forward to a unique relationship with our client. The arrival of this Manhattan 63 marks the beginning of many more Sunseeker Cheshire supplied boats to the area.”

The Manhattan 63 “MAKO”, which is likely to be one of the most expensive privately–owned boats in the North West, will be on show at the upcoming All Wales Boat Show from 30th May to 1st June and is set to make a further public appearance at the August Bank Holiday Extravaganza at The Warren in Abersoch. Between these events, her new owner intends to spend valuable time onboard with his family throughout the summer, transforming the luxurious 3-cabin flybridge motor yacht into a home away from home.

Pwllheli Marina has done an excellent job of accommodating its new Sunseeker arrival; once it was confirmed that the marina’s hoist was strong enough to lift all 35,000kg of the Manhattan 63, works began to upgrade her shorepower to 63 amps at the owner’s request. Juxtaposed against some more traditional sailing vessels and yawls,”MAKO” is certainly both beauty and beast of the marina, impressing passers by with her awesome looks and powerful twin IPS 1200 pod drives as she slips through the water.

This sale marks the beginning of a successful relationship with the North-West for Sunseeker Cheshire, and Jonathan looks forward to developing the company’s presence in the area further.
