Hosted by the owner of the one-of-a-kind 101 Sport Yacht to thank Sunseeker’s build and design teams for all their hard work over the past 12 months, the “BLACK LEGEND” Build Party took place on Friday 11th April, ahead of the yacht’s imminent launch.
As their shifts ended on Friday afternoon, teams from Sunseeker International donned their custom “I Built Black Legend” t-shirts and headed to the quayside where the champagne and beer were chilled, a huge barbecue was fired and the music was reassuringly loud.
Some 80 members of the “BLACK LEGEND” build crew attended the event, taking the opportunity to bask in the glorious sunshine and enjoy a hard earned beverage, all set to the backdrop of their latest creation – the new 101 Sport Yacht.
It marked a special occasion for everyone involved in “Project Black Legend” as, coincidentally, it was nearly 12 months to the day since the first mat of fibreglass was laid back in 2013.
Sunseeker International’s Mark Chinery was awarded the “Black Legend Medal of Valour” for his hard work and dedication to what has officially been crowned the most highly specified Sunseeker ever built.
Sunseeker London’s Selling Broker Harry Bristow-Holmes and Sales Director Christopher Head proudly attended the event along with a number of key suppliers including Mike Herrebrugh from Sevenstar Yacht Transport, who will now be handling the onward journey of “BLACK LEGEND” to Malta from Southampton.
